Sign Policy

I am the owner of the real estate on the northwest corner of College Avenue and Del Cerro Boulevard in San Diego California. My property line extends to College Avenue on the east, Del Cerro Boulevard on the south and Vinley Place on the west. This property is at the entrance to the West Del Cerro community.

My property is an extremely desirable place for signs. Over the years, I have received numerous requests to put signs on my property. In addition, many others have put signs on my property without asking my permission.

I have noticed that whenever I gave permission to one person or group to put up a sign, other signs are also put on my property without my permission. People, who are looking for a place to put their sign, assume that if someone else’s sign is acceptable then their sign would also be acceptable. Therefore, allowing some signs and excluding others does not work.

Unless I establish a firm policy with regard to signs, my property could become an unsightly row of signs and billboards. This would seriously detract from the attractiveness of the entrance to the prestigious West Del Cerro community.

I have, therefore, declared my property to be a totally:

SIGN FREE ZONE

No signs are permitted including signs supporting any and all good causes, meetings, political candidates, real estate sales and garage sales. I believe that this is in the best interest of both me and the Del Cerro Community.

In accordance with this policy, I consistently refuse to give anyone permission to put signs on my property. I also remove any signs placed on my property.
